Bio

Justin Hind was born on November 28th, 1986 into an extremely musical family. As early as kindergarten he was playing piano, and in junior high he began writing his own lyrics and music. Stemming from musical influences such as Ben Folds and the Counting Crows, Justin's writing has progressively become more advanced. It was also at this time that Justin met Tomek Miernowski, his future band mate and musical partner. By their junior year in high school, Justin and Tomek began recording their own original songs and by the summer of 2004 they had released their debut album, 'This Boy'. Relying solely on word-of-mouth, the CD was a hit within the immediate networks of the two musicians, selling hundreds of copies. During his senior year in high school, Justin started a band called Lady Mondegreen, with whom he played shows around Madison. They recorded a full-length, self titled album and released it in the spring of 2005. This CD was also met with praise. The summer after high school, Justin and Tomek began recording together again, but were faced with the challenge of attending different colleges in the fall. Determined to continue working together Justin and Tomek collaborated on a 'long distance' second album. Through the magic of the internet they were able to send their own recordings back and forth in order to complete the project. Just like 'This Boy', 'Myriads' was completely self-recorded and produced. It was released in the summer of 2006 and is now available on CD Baby and iTunes. Currently Justin is pursuing a degree in Recording Technology through the school of music at University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. He is studying trumpet through the department and plays his own music on his own time.
